Integrated electronic system inside a rugged enclosure

Electronic Integration

Custom electronic systems that bring power, data, devices, enclosures and cabling together

You have the parts.
Now you need the system.

The individual components exist, but they do not yet work together in a neat, reliable or deployable way.

There may be too many cables, too many separate power supplies, or too many parts that were never designed to operate as 1 system. Devices may be difficult to charge, update, protect or transport. Network hardware may need to be fitted into a rugged case. A prototype may work on a bench, but not in the field.

SP-1 designs around the complete system, not just the individual parts.

The neater way to make technology work together

SP-1 integrates electronics, power, data, enclosures, cable routing and manufacturing into finished products.

We look at how the equipment will actually be used: how it is powered, stored, connected, cooled, transported, accessed and maintained. Then we design the internal layout, electronics, cabling, connectors, enclosure and build process around that.

What we integrate

Every project is different, but SP-1 commonly works with systems involving:

Power
Power supplies, DC distribution, batteries, UPS systems, charging inputs and protected wiring.

Data and connectivity
USB charging and sync, Ethernet, fibre, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, routers, switches and firewalls.

Devices and hardware
Sensors, wearables, phones, tablets, displays, controls, indicators, docks and storage.

Enclosures and build
Rugged cases, racks, connector panels, cable harnesses, cooling, assembly, testing and documentation.

Example integration projects

SP-1’s integration work includes rugged mobile charging systems, deployable network cases, off-grid power systems, wearable sensor charging platforms and custom USB PCB assemblies.

Electronic Integration FAQs

What is electronic integration?
Electronic integration is the process of combining separate electronic components, devices, power systems, data connections and enclosures into 1 reliable, usable system.

Can SP-1 integrate existing hardware?
Yes. SP-1 can design systems around existing devices, sensors, tablets, phones, routers, switches, power supplies, antennas and specialist equipment.

Can SP-1 design the enclosure as well?
Yes. SP-1 combines electronic integration with 3D design, enclosure design, custom metalwork, case integration and manufacturing.

Can SP-1 help with power distribution?
Yes. SP-1 designs and integrates power supplies, DC distribution, battery systems, charging inputs, UPS support, cable assemblies and protected power layouts.

Can SP-1 support low-volume manufacture?
Yes. SP-1 can support prototype builds, small production runs, assembly, wiring, testing, labelling and build documentation.

What types of projects are suitable for SP-1?
SP-1 is best suited to projects where standard products are not enough, especially systems involving multiple devices, charging, power, data, networking, ruggedisation or deployment.
