SP-1 Project
Wearable Sensor Sync & Charging Case
Client
Sportable Technologies, delivering wearable sensor systems for real-time sports performance tracking.
Objective
Develop a portable, high-density charging and data case for player wearable sensors, enabling fast turnaround between training sessions and matches.
Challenge
Player tags must be charged, stored and reconfigured quickly between uses. Existing setups relied on loose cables and manual handling, creating inefficiencies and risk of damage. The system needed to securely transport devices, provide simultaneous charging at scale, and enable reliable data flashing, all in a compact, airline-checkable format.
Solution
SP-1 engineered Nova as a fully integrated transport, charging and data platform tailored to Sportable’s wearable ecosystem.
- Rugged, waterproof transport case holding up to 50 player tags securely
- Integrated slot-based docking system for fast insertion and removal
- Simultaneous charging for 50 devices with integrated power distribution
- Data flashing capability for 50 devices concurrently over a single USB cable
- Single mains power input with internal protection including RCD and fused supply
- Compact, airline-compatible form factor with wheels and telescopic handle for transport
- IP65-rated protection
Outcome
Delivered a streamlined system that standardises how wearable sensors are handled, charged and configured. Reduced setup time, improved reliability and ensured consistent device readiness across training and matchday environments.
